A GriefShare Class for Those Who Have Lost a Spouse

Losing a husband or wife changes every part of life. The routines, the quiet moments, the decisions, and even the future can suddenly feel uncertain. For many widows and widowers, grief brings a deep sense of loneliness that others may not fully understand.

That is why Surviving From Loss is offering a GriefShare class especially for those who have experienced the loss of a spouse.

This class provides a safe and caring environment where widows and widowers can gather with others who truly understand the journey of spousal loss. Through the trusted GriefShare program, helpful video teaching, and guided discussion, participants receive practical tools, encouragement, and hope as they learn how to navigate life after loss.

Many who attend discover that one of the most healing parts of the experience is simply being in a room with others who “get it.” Conversations happen naturally, friendships begin to form, and people often realize for the first time that they are not alone in their grief.

Our facilitators combine the excellent GriefShare resources with both personal and professional experience in grief care. Each session also includes light refreshments and time for fellowship, allowing participants to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of widowhood.

Please know that financial concerns should never prevent someone from attending. While the GriefShare workbook is normally $25, confidential scholarships are always available. If the fee presents a difficulty, simply let us know when you register. Our desire is to make sure every widow or widower who needs support can participate.

If you are walking through the loss of a spouse, we would be honored to walk alongside you during this difficult season and help you find comfort, strength, and renewed hope.

With care and compassion,

Charles Foster

Below are a couple of our past classes of wonderful people.

Our fall graduating class of our 13-week GriefShare 4 series.  We had 14 graduates who built lifelong friendships and faced our grief head-on, and we are making progress on our grief journey.    Pat Berger, Brittany Davis, and Don Payne are not pictured.

Our spring graduating class of GriefShare 4 series.

Earlene Daniel, Joan Howard, and Gwen McClain are among the graduates, and Diane Englet and Charles Foster are facilitators.

These life-changing classes continue to help those who desire help through the journey of grieving.

Surviving From Loss continues to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

Our ministry specializes in helping those who have lost a spouse, but our classes are open to other types of grief as well.  If you would like more information, scroll up to our registration form.
