JOIN OUR WIDOWED MIGHT PRAYER TEAM

The seasoned child of God understands the transformative power of prayer, serving as a powerful example to all of us.

In Luke 21, the story of the widow’s mite illustrates the profound impact of giving, even when it seems small. The widow offered a mite—worth about 1/8 of a penny—yet it was all she had. This reminds us never to underestimate the significance of small acts, for they can hold great power.

In today’s world, we often value the new and overlook the old, which can extend to how we view people. Those who are widowed or aging may sometimes feel undervalued, but their prayers are far from insignificant. Your life experiences enrich your relationship with the Lord, enabling you to speak with a deep understanding that younger individuals may not yet possess.

It’s essential to recognize that widows, far from being of little worth, are mighty in God’s eyes. This is the inspiration behind the program “WIDOWS MIGHT”—to affirm that your prayers and contributions are robust and vital.

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”  Matthew 18:19-20
